Who should get their facility tested?
Testing is of great value anywhere a cleaning and sanitation protocol has been implemented for the safety of employees and customers. Spot checking shared surfaces can help validate cleaning protocols and identify areas that require revised methods.
What surfaces should be tested?
The test can be done on all solid surfaces touched by many people e.g. door handles, stair railings, countertops, shared equipment, tables, and office equipment.
How many samples should be taken?
Swab sampling provides a ‘spot check’ for the presence of the virus on the sampled surface. The number of areas sampled should be based on each individual use case being evaluated. Areas with more impacted surfaces should have more testing while areas used by fewer people would need fewer tests.
